The biggest policy change is that we are now requiring that EVERY player who is not 18 years old must have a new Lock-in permission slip signed by a parent/guardian and on file with eBash.  This is for two reasons:

#1 – We are not responsible for physically restraining any player to stay in our store.  It is the responsibility and duty of the parent/guardian to instruct the minor to remain at the store.
#2 – We are really going to start enforcing the eBash Rules and Guidelines to make sure everyone is here to PLAY VIDEO GAMES.  We are going to require an emergency contact number for every player under 18 so that we can call the parent/guardian and have the player removed if they are not following the rules.

After many different ideas and tests for our lock-in packages and prices we have come up with these prices moving forward for each  lock-in that is not a holiday or special event:

Friday Lock-In:

Before 8 PM includes pizza/drink, day pass, night pass and lock-in pass:
VIP – $20
Regular – $25

After 8 PM includes night pass and lock-in pass only:
$15

Regular customers can also add $5 to those passes for 30 days of VIP membership.

Saturday Lock-in:

Before 8 PM includes day pass, nick pass, lock-in lock-in pass:

Epic is watching and listening and is very willing to work with the competitive side to mold their ranked matchmaking to a happy medium between the old school competitive side and the super easy tons-of-power weapons side the public is used to in gaming.

That being said, yes I have played and agree with the points you are all making against the new gametypes. We will take it easy and make each best-of-3 series play as execution, KoTH or TD and then execution. That way every team is guaranteed one execution match for sure in the series and any tiebreaker will be execution.

So let’s move forward, we don’t need to have a vote or campaign for getting the settings changed. Let’s concentrate on having an awesome weekend and enjoying the start of a long running set of tournaments at eBash for GoW3. Many past pro teams have passed through our doors in our past Gears tournaments and gone on to become my lifelong friends so I look forward to meeting many of you this weekend to see who might be next.

Our permanent VIP membership is known as the Ultimate Gamer. To become an Ultimate Gamer, you have to earn it. It’s not as easy as throwing money down on the counter then walking off to play games.  Here are the rules:

1. You must be present at eBash for  10 consecutive days from the time that we open, to the time that we close.
2.  You cannot leave the building. Be prepared to have someone bring you lunch and dinner! We don’t want you starving while playing games.  You can get up and walk around the building if you would like, but you cannot walk out the front doors until we close.
3. Your personal gamerscore must increase 5000 points.  If you need help picking out some games that have some decent gamerscore and achievements, be sure to talk to BoZack since he’s the gamerscore legend around here! If you need help getting some achievement points, check out http://360voice.gamerdna.com/  or http://www.trueachievements.com/. Those two websites will guide you to get those much needed achievement points.

It is more fun to play with a group of friends at eBash!

We are excited to announce that Facebook Tuesdays are returning starting in October!  Facebook Tuesdays are the most popular group program we have featured in the 7 years we have been open in Terre Haute.  What is Facebook Tuesdays you ask?

Each Tuesday you can come to eBash with a group (2 or more people) to get a crazy discounted price for a day pass.  The only requirement is that you post on the eBash Terre Haute facebook page and tag (with a Blue hyperlink) your friends in the group.  An example of this would look like this:

(On the eBash Wall:)  I am heading to eBash Terre Haute for Facebook Tuesdays with Dustin Dudley, Ashley Strohm, Eric Wilburn and Tucker Johnson.

This year we are offering a different discount package and also we are crowning the King or Queen of Facebook each week.

If you tag the following number of people in your post, then all players get the discount shown:

2 Friends = $6 day pass each
3 Friends = $5 day pass each
4 Friends = $4 day pass each
5 Friends = $3 day pass each
6+ Friends = $2 day pass each (note, you may have to tag twice on the eBash wall for more than 8 friends)

The King/Queen of Facebook each week is the person who gathers the largest group of friends to play together that Tuesday.  That gamer will be able to play for free the next week on Facebook Tuesday and get a free drink of their choice!  Who will reign as the King or Queen of Facebook Tuesdays the most weeks?

Other than what is mentioned above the only real rule is that your entire group MUST check-in at eBash together.  Yes, physically in the store together.  No, it does not count if Billy the Big Bad Gamer can’t get off work until 7 PM.  Poor Billy is not one of your group if he doesn’t show up at the same time to play!

Facebook Tuesdays are available during the school year except on school breaks and holidays.

We are taking reserves now at the store and already it is selling more quickly than any title in the past 2 years.  Why should you reserve your copy at eBash?  First of all the diehard players come to eBash.  The wannabes find themselves talking trash waiting in hours STANDING in line at the big box stores.  Not at eBash.  We walk the walk while we are waiting for the midnight release.  Yep, we crack out the store copies early in the store and let you get a leg up on the competition before you take your copy home at midnight.

Gears of War 3 will feature four-player co-op for the first time in the series. A fully controllable mech suit, called a Silverback, will be available for use in certain parts of the game, armed with a machine gun and rocket launcher. They have two operating modes, in assault mode it is controlled like a standard character, in stationary mode, they lock into position and deploy their armor, as well as cover for other Gears from their legs.

The player will once again play as Marcus Fenix, although at several points throughout the game, control will change to other characters.

There will be several new Locust enemies in the game, including the Savage Grenadier, the Savage Theron, the Digger Boomer, the Locust Siege Beast and the Kantus Knight, as well as the return of the Berserkers (both ordinary as well as Lambent). Additionally, the game introduces the new Lambent enemies, such as Drudges, Polyps, and Lambent Stalks. There will also be new weapons; the Retro Lancer (a lancer with a blade bayonet attachment), the Digger Launcher (a gun that launches small digging creatures through the ground at high speeds that explode), the Sawed-off Shotgun, Incendiary Grenades, the One Shot (a heavy sniper rifle that, as the name suggests, kills enemies in a single shot) and the butchers machete.

Four new playable female characters will be introduced: Samantha Byrne, Anya Stroud, Queen Myrrah, and Bernadette Mataki, a character from the Karen Traviss novels. Other new playable characters include Jace Stratton, a battle-hardened soldier who appears in the comic series and is mentioned in the second game, and Griffin, leader of a group of human survivors called the Stranded. Hip-hop star Ice-T will voice the character of Griffin, while actress Claudia Black will be the voice of Samantha.

There will also be an enhanced progression system with players able to gain experience and level up through all modes, including the campaign.

During an interview with GameInformer Magazine, EA stated that Commander Mode is unlikely to be included,^[7] which was met with some criticism on the EA forum.^[8]

The game will feature maps set in Paris, Tehran, Sarajevo, Sulaymaniyah, New York, Wake Island and Oman. As a whole, combat will take place in urban streets, metropolitan downtown areas, and open landscapes suited to vehicle combat.^[9]

Battlefield 3 will introduce the Battlelog, a free cross-platform social service with built-in text and voice communicator, game statistics and ability to join the game that friend is already playing (both players need to be on the same platform).^[10]
